Co Hemp Fest Collaborates with WCARC

By Colorado Hemp Fest
For Immediate Release: February 29, 2016

Collbran, CO – Locally-owned Colorado Hemp Fest announced today that Western Colorado Agriculture Resource Center will be the spotlighted non-profit at the 1st Annual Colorado Hemp Festival in Western Colorado, to be held August 12-14, 2016 in Plateau City, Colorado.  The festival will feature educational sessions about hemp (cannabis sativa), a "Battle of the Bands", world-renowned entertainment, a business expo for hemp-related products and local vendors, non-profit booths, and several activities for the whole family.  The primary goals for the festival are: to educate the public about and promote the benefits of hemp; for local and hemp vendors to have a venue filled with people interested in hemp products and the farm-to-consumer cycle; and also for our vendors, sponsors, and non-profits to get great exposure and support.  The theme for 2016 is "Freedom & Farming".

Announced last week was the official "Call for Exhibitors" - sponsors, speakers, vendors, and non-profit/service organizations.  An Exhibitor Application is available at the newly-launched website:  http://www.CoHempFest.com, which also provides additional information about the festival and hemp. The "early-bird" bonus or discount deadline for applications has been extended to March 10, 2016.

Numerous activities are being planned, and you are invited to participate.  With sponsor and vendor booths starting at only $150 for all three days, businesses and groups are encouraged to apply early as spaces are limited.  Volunteers and in-kind donors are also welcome.

"Without agriculture, there is no culture..."

Western Colorado Agriculture Resource Center is based in Collbran, CO, and will be coordinating with local 4-H, FFA, and other youth groups in the Plateau Valley to provide several family-friendly activities.  A few possibilities include a petting FARM/RANCH "zoo", demonstrations of how to make rope halters for calves out of hemp rope, and agricultural presentations.  A portion of proceeds will be donated to benefit this admirable local non-profit, and to fund "jump-start" programs that are being developed with them for local hemp-industry related businesses and farmers.

Colorado Hemp Fest is hosted by K&E Concepts, McDel Gifts & Gear Co. and ThePlateauValley.com Post; all business owners are Colorado natives and residents of Mesa County, Colorado.
